Tradition and Technology

The 14th International Meeting on Chemical Sensors (IMCS) was held from May 20 to May 23 2012 in Nuremberg, Germany.

The International Meeting on Chemical Sensors is the world`s largest interdisciplinary forum for all aspects of Chemical Sensors. In 2012, 507 high-quality contributions from 43 countries from all over the world were presented.

It is the mission of the IMCS

  • to be an interdisciplinary forum in the field of Chemical Sensors that includes physics, chemistry, materials science, and engineering disciplines (including biomedical engineering).
  • to boost research and application in the field of Chemical Sensors.
  • to be an international platform for discussion and exchange between experienced researchers and younger students
  • to bring advanced science in close contact to market needs

The huge number of worldwide contributions, the excellent plenary and invited talks, the large number of participants from industry, and the combination with the SENSOR+TEST expo, which is the world's largest fair on Sensors, were the key for a successful conference.

On behalf of AMA and of the organizing team I would like to thank you for joining IMCS 2012 in Nuremberg and for the many positive comments as a feedback.

The 15th International Meeting on Chemical Sensors will take place between March 16 and March 19, 2014, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Prof. Alberto Lamagna and his group will be happy to welcome you.
